Furniture Care

To give extra protection against hot cups, plates and spillages, it's best to use place mats on wood dining tables and wood coffee tables. Should you use a damp cloth to clear spillages from your furniture we recommmend that you wipe afterwards with a dry cloth immediately, this will avoid raising the wood grain itself.

In the case of oiled finished wood furniture, the oil enhances the natural characteristics and appearances of the wood. Re-oiling is appropriate when an area appears to be 'bleaching out' or feeling dry. An appropriate cloth should be used exclusively for this purpose and not contaminated with washing, cleaning or polishing products and the oil used sparingly (any oil not quickly absorbed should be wiped off to avoid stickiness).

With lacquered finish wood furniture simply wiping down with a moist cloth and mild detergent, followed by drying with a soft cloth will maintain its natural timber appearance.
